Children deserve a safe, harm-free upbringing. It's essential to recognise and act against behaviours that endanger their welfare. 

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must:

• be alert: know the signs of harm and abuse including neglect
• act quickly: timely action can make a big difference in a child's life
• stay informed: learn about local safeguarding policies and procedures
