Health and safety at events

If you organise an event, you must properly manage, supervise and monitor it. 

This is to ensure the safety of:

• people working at the event 
• the public attending the event
• any others who may be affected by the event

Your responsibility as an organiser includes: 

• avoiding damage to any property
• preventing fear or alarm to the public
• minimising disruption to the local community
