Get help with renovation costs
We can help bring your empty property back into residential use.
If you have an empty property we can help you bring it back into residential use.
Empty properties often get vandalised, broken into or squatted.
You can report an empty property and we can help bring it back into use.
If you're an owner you may find it difficult and expensive trying to keep your property secure.
The longer a property is empty the more Council Tax you may have to pay on it.
Our empty home services can help you make money while providing a home for someone.
Refurbishment cost help
We have a limited number of loans and grants to help you refurbish your property to:
- let it on the private or social housing market
- live in it as your main home
If eligible, we offer:
- grants of up to £40,000 if you let your property through one of our letting schemes
- fixed-fee loans of up to £70,000 if you want to rent it privately or live in it
In certain circumstances you may be able to get a grant and a loan.
