A tenant management organisation (TMO) is an independent group that provides housing management on behalf of the council. TMOs are in a legal contract with us to run services including:
- cleaning and caretaking
- collecting rents and arrears
- repairs and maintenance
- dealing with anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes
- making sure tenants are informed and listened to
- renting houses to new tenants
- managing major works
We support TMOs to:
- make sure all our tenants and homeowners are treated fairly
- achieve the council's priorities for offering housing
- help TMOs deliver a housing management service equal to or better than the council's
- promote diversity
