Red Post Hill
Construction has begun to make the area a more accessible and safe space for all.
Construction for Red Post Hill began on 24 February 2025, and we aim to finish by mid-May. A works notification letter was sent to inform residents and stakeholders of the upcoming works.

The main improvements are aligned with our Streets for People strategy and include:
- footway widening providing a more inclusive and accessible space
- pedestrian crossings and countdown timer for pedestrian priority
- measures to enhance safety and visibility for cyclists (advanced stop line)
- carriageway resurfacing creating smoother journeys for cyclists and vehicles
The works will be carried out in 7 phases.

Impact of works
Due to the temporary traffic lights, there may be some delays at the junction while works are ongoing. However, access will be maintained at all times for all road users. Temporary pedestrian crossings will be maintained at all arms of the junction.
Background
We have been working with the community to improve the Red Post Hill junction. This is following a decision made in March 2023 to make the Dulwich Village Junction re-design and Red Post Hill Junction improvements permanent.
