Digital parking permit

Reduce Blue Badge theft by applying for a digital parking permit

If you are a resident in Southwark and hold a Blue Badge for disabled parking, you can apply for a digital parking permit. The permit is free.

The digital parking permit gives you the same parking benefits as a Blue Badge, while reducing the risk of Blue Badge theft.

It also allows you to drive through some Streetspace measures within Southwark.

You must provide:

  • your Blue Badge details
  • the car registration number (either your vehicle or your carer’s)
  • a copy of your Blue Badge

We usually issue permits within a day after you've given us all the information and documents we need. If you live outside a controlled parking zone (CPZ), it may take up to 5 days.

You must wait for an email from us confirming your digital parking permit before you park without displaying your Blue Badge.

An digital parking permit is valid for a year. You will get an email reminder to renew it.

The digital parking permit will not work in privately owned car parks in Southwark. It is only valid within Southwark's boundaries.
