Parking enforcement during holidays
How we enforce parking restrictions during UK public holidays.
At Christmas and on UK public holidays we apply different parking enforcement rules.
Public holidays
On all bank holidays and public holidays except Christmas day, we enforce parking in the following areas:
- permit holders bays in Bankside controlled parking zone (CPZ) C1
- parking bays in Bermondsey CPZ G
- double yellow lines anywhere in Southwark
- footways, in front of dropped kerbs or disabled bays
- car parks in Southwark Parks (please ensure you have paid to park)
Free parking is available in:
- paid parking places (except for Bermondsey CPZ G)
- permit holder parking bays (except for Bankside CPZ C1 and Bermondsey CPZ G)
- council-run car parks (except in Parks)
Christmas day
On Christmas Day:
- there is no parking enforcement or bus lane enforcement
- traffic enforcement of banned turns and movements are enforced using CCTV
