Visitor's parking permits

You can buy digital visitor's parking permits, also known as virtual permits. As you cannot display virtual permits in your vehicle, Civil Enforcement Officers carry out checks using the vehicle registration number.

If you want to buy virtual visitor's permits, log into your parking account. If you don't have a parking account, you can register and apply.

Once you've purchased your virtual visitor's permits, you'll receive an email instructing you to log in to your account. If you know the arrival time and your visitor's vehicle registration number, you can pre-book permits in advance.

Permit costs

One-hour permits cost:

• £2.20 for 1 permit
• £13.30 for 10 permits

Five-hour permits cost:

• £3.50 for 1 permit
• £26.20 for 10 permits

All-day permits cost:

• £6.70 for 1 permit
• £32.80 (discounted price) for your first 10 permits
• £59 for each additional 10 permits

Purchasing packs of 10 all-day permits works on a 12 month cycle. You'll get the first 10 permits at the discounted price. Any further packs of 10 are charged at the full price. When a year has passed from the time you bought the first pack, the cycle restarts and the next pack you buy will be at the discounted price.

You can only buy 100 all-day permits in a 12 month cycle.
