Nursery Row Park

We will be making improvements to Nursery Row Park in Walworth.

A park with trees and empty dirt space
Nursery Row Park

We have funding for targeted improvements to this important neighbourhood park, focusing on improving the entrance from East Street and the two play areas.

Our key aims are to:

  • transform the entrance from East St to create a more welcoming and greener space
  • enhance the play areas to provide exciting play equipment for children up to 16 years old
  • investigate the option of providing an outdoor gym
  • improve seating around the park

Nursery Row Park is being improved as part of a programme of improvements to Southwark Council's parks.

Final consultation now open!

We have updated the design proposals following your feedback from the first consultation. Key points include:

  • provide additional seating throughout the park rather than targeted areas
  • create two entrances from East St to provide better access, also allowing us to retain two existing concrete seating/planters for refurbishment
  • the outdoor gym has moved further into the park, slightly further away from residential housing
  • for older children install a zip wire and multi swing
  • for younger children install more accessible play equipment, for example, wide slide and accessible roundabout, install a trampoline and replace old equipment with new

What's happening now

The final consultation on these changes is now live until 16 June 2024 – tell us what you think to help us get the design right!
