CIL payment instalments and Annual CIL Rate Summary
We follow the Mayor of London's instalment policy under CIL Reg.70(4). This allows 2 instalments for each chargeable development or phase above £100,000. We must receive:
- the first instalment within 60 days
- the second instalment within 240 days of starting the project
For projects under £100,000, CIL is payable in full within 60 days of work starting.
If these terms are broken then the full CIL amount becomes due in full immediately.
If work has already started when planning consent is obtained, then payment will also be due in full immediately.
