Advice on healthy eating for all age groups, accessing free and low-cost food, and support for eating disorders.

Free food and vitamins

Free vitamin D

Pregnant women, new mums and children under four in the borough can get free vitamin D supplements. As they grow up, not having enough vitamin D can make your child more at risk of rickets (bowed legs), seizures and even heart failure in rare cases.

You can collect your free vitamin D from these pharmacies in Southwark and Lambeth.

Free healthy food: Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a national scheme for pregnant women and families with children under four who get certain benefits.

Free fruit and vegetables: Rose Vouchers

The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project gives vouchers every week to pregnant women and families with children under five who have low or no income. The vouchers can be used to buy fresh fruit and vegetables from local markets and stalls.
