A group of people sitting around a table participating in a raffia embroidery workshop. Colorful spools of raffia thread, cups, and craft materials are spread across the table. Some participants are stitching on the raffia, while others smile and chat. A woman standing at the back, wearing a blue sweater and camera around her neck, laughs with the group. Large green plants decorate the bright, welcoming room.

Slow Down, Get Creative: Join Our Raffia Embroidery Workshop!

In today's fast-paced world, finding time to unwind and reconnect with creativity is more important than ever. "Raffia embroidery is a meditative and enjoyable craft that offers real mental health benefits. From reducing anxiety to improving focus and creating a deep sense of accomplishment," says designer and textile artist Tihara Smith.

This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to experience the calming magic of embroidery with a tropical twist. Whether you're completely new to stitching or an experienced embroiderer curious to swap traditional cotton threads for raffia, everyone is welcome!

What to Expect

Under Tihara’s expert guidance, you’ll learn the fundamentals of raffia embroidery, using all the materials and equipment provided. Choose between stitching a vibrant hibiscus flower or a lush monstera leaf and if you don't finish on the day, you'll have everything you need to complete your piece at home.
