This is a free community event for families and friends organised by The Globe Church. Drop in anytime between 10am to 12.30pm. There isn't any booking, and we will organise people into groups as people arrive! Refreshments available and a prize for each child when they complete the trail. This event will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain.

Paper Marbling and Bookbinding

Craft your own bound book and learn one of the oldest and most elegant methods of decorating paper. Create marble-like designs by manipulating floating (coloured) inks on water and carefully transferring them to an absorbent paper. In this workshop you will experiment with paper marbling, and learn different bookbinding techniques, before creating a final book with your marbling designs to take home at the end of the class.

In this workshop you will learn how to transfer your image to a woodblock. You’ll be introduced to the woodcarving process, carving and printing from wood blocks inspired by Tirzah Garwood. About Jade They Jade is a printmaker and illustrator based in South London. Her artist prints are often centred on literature, landscapes & her Chinese / English background. Her illustration clients include SAGA, The Boston Journal, Delayed Gratification magazine and Studio Pensom, amongst others. Find out more here.
