Secure cycle parking on housing estates

As part of the Mayor for London's Barclays Cycle Superhighway initiative, the London Borough of Southwark was awarded funding to supply some of their housing estates (within 1.5km of the Barclays Cycle Superhighway) with secure cycle parking facilities.

We recently contacted all of their housing estate residents (within 1.5km of Barclays Cycle Superhighway) to find out whether they desired secure cycle parking facilities. We had a larger than expected response rate, with a high number of residents requesting that cycle parking be implemented.  

As such, we are now looking to put varying types of cycle parking provisions on those estates which require the highest amount of parking. Given that all the estates differ in one form or another, be it lack of space, areas that could be converted or upgrading of old pram sheds, care is being taken to provide secure cycle parking facilities which would work best with each estate and the residents' requirements.

Since the launch of the above initiative, further funding has been secured to provide secure cycle parking on housing estates within the rest of Southwark. If your estate would benefit from the provision of cycle parking facilities, please contact us.
