Sharing your data

We may have to share your personal data with other teams or external organisations. This is so we provide you with the right services or because:

  • an agreement allows us to
  • we have your consent
  • it is necessary to provide social care
  • it is necessary to preserve life or prevent serious harm

If your data is being shared with a third party, we will tell you when we collect your data. If a third party shares your data with us, we will tell you about how we will process it. Get a list of our current contract providers.

We may need to share your data with the police or government. This might be because the:

If we get a request for your information in these cases, we will assess it before disclosing anything. We will not tell you when your data is shared with a statutory agency, unless you ask us to. In some cases, we may not be able to tell you when you ask. 

When sharing your personal information, we will always take care and act proportionality. Your data will only be sent by secure email or recorded delivery. We will share your information only with authorised agencies.
