About fostering
Foster carers look after somebody else’s child in their own home when the child is not able to live with their birth family.
It can be for a short time or a number of years. Foster carers provide a loving, caring environment that every child needs.
As a foster carer you help to guide a child or young person by giving them standards and values for life. It's down to you to guide and advise the young person.
About 40% of our carers have been fostering for more than 10 years.
