London Metropolitan Archives
The London Metropolitan Archives holds the original registers for the Anglican parishes of Southwark of:
- baptism
- marriage
- burial
Most records of the local Poor Law Boards of Guardians are also held there. These were responsible for operating workhouses, infirmaries and other institutions. All of these records have been digitised and made available on the Ancestry website.
