The British Newspaper Archive(link is external) is a searchable archive of British and Irish newspapers from the British Library.

FamilySearch(link is external) includes international birth, marriage, death, census and church records. It's free to browse, but further research may require a subscription fee.

Genes Reunited(link is external) is useful for contacting other families. The full version requires a subscription fee.
