Book communal access for workers
Book keys if an engineer needs to access your building’s boiler house, lift motor room, plant room, electrical cupboard, or roof area.

Gas and electricity engineers
Only approved engineers can access the intake cupboard as this is a restricted area.
Book a date with your energy provider to carry out a meter reading.
Email communal.key.requests@southwark.gov.uk and we'll check if a key or fob are available.
You could discuss having a smart meter fitted by your supplier. Having one of these in your home means:
- engineers do not need to come to the building to take meter readings
- the meter gives your energy provider accurate readings instead of estimates
- you can easily keep track of your energy use and how much you're spending
