In 2020 we made changes to the bus lanes and pedestrian crossing facilities between Champion Hill and Sunray Avenue in Denmark Hill. These changes included:
- widening the bus lane to 4.5m where possible
- replacing the staggered crossing with a straight crossing
This work aimed to:
- improve journey times for passengers using the 42, 68 and 468 bus routes
- improve conditions for cyclists
- improve crossing conditions for pedestrians
- reduce conflict with other vehicle types
- improve safety for all road users
