Local development orders

Sometimes, you will not need to apply for planning permission if a specific local development order (LDO) is in place.

A LDO is a flexible tool. We determine them locally. We use them to speed up the delivery of the right kind of development for Southwark. 

We have therefore agreed to a LDO to install a district heating network that will make it easier to get this type of infrastructure built.
