Neighbourhood planning

Neighbourhood planning gives you more of a role in the planning of your neighbourhood. It's a process led by the community and supported by us.

Neighbourhood planning improves the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of your area. We do this through:

• a neighbourhood plan that sets positive, sustainable policies for new development
• neighbourhood development orders that allow development without the need for planning permission
• community right to build orders so residents can undertake development without the need to apply for planning permission
