How to start a new neighbourhood plan
To write a neighbourhood plan or a neighbourhood development order, your community must come together.
You must ask us if you can become a formal community forum. If we agree, we'll designate you a neighbourhood area. Only one group can undertake neighbourhood planning in a particular neighbourhood.
You can then prepare your neighbourhood plan (or a neighbourhood development order).
We'll work with you (and any neighbouring local planning authorities) to make sure your forum meets legal requirements.
