Temporary accommodation

We’ll work with you to prevent you becoming homeless. If you need temporary accommodation, and we have a duty to you, we will provide it.

We may be able to give you temporary accommodation if:

• you cannot stay in your own home and are facing homelessness
• you’re already homeless

It will depend on your circumstances though.

We can only give temporary accommodation to those who are:

• eligible
• homeless
• in priority need

By law, we can only offer temporary accommodation once.

If you refuse the offer, we cannot give you another offer and you’ll need to find your own accommodation.
