Types of temporary housing
The types of temporary accommodation we offer include:
- privately rented homes
- bed and breakfast (B&B)
- council-owned and managed hostels
- other properties provided by charities and other social landlords
We try to provide temporary accommodation in Southwark.
If we cannot find accommodation in Southwark, we work with housing providers in neighbouring areas.
Self-help scheme
This service helps you secure a privately-rented home if you have a live homelessness application.
You must find a landlord with suitable accommodation.
We offer private landlords an incentive payment and the deposit. There are no fees or service charges.
For more information on the self-help scheme contact housingsupply@southwark.gov.uk.
