Resident and non-resident leaseholders can pay over 12 equal monthly instalments by standing order. This is interest-free.
Extended interest-free
Resident leaseholders can also apply for an extended interest-free period.
How long depends on how much you owe.
You can apply for:
-
up to 36 months if your estimated amount is less than £7,200
-
up to 48 months if it's more than £7,200
To apply:
-
contact us as soon as you get your invoice
-
complete and return the extended interest-free payment agreement form before 1 April
Non-resident leaseholders cannot apply for the extended interest-free payment plans.
If you do not pay
If you do not pay we'll send you a reminder letter.
If you contact us straightaway we'll usually start the payment plan up again. We'll:
-
request that you make the missed payment before re-starting the plan
-
or set up your monthly plan with a higher monthly figure
This is to make sure all the agreed payments are made.
If you keep missing payments we'll:
-
stop your instalment plan
-
demand that you pay the outstanding debt in full immediately
-
add interest until the balance is paid
If we do this we'll charge interest at 5% above NatWest's base rate, as stated in your lease.
If you're a leaseholder living in a different property than your main home, your repayment terms may change. Check your lease.
You may be able to apply for a discretionary loan. Check your invoice.
