Problems with noise and nuisances

Construction and demolition work can only be done within specified hours after you've been given notice or have our permission.

Construction noise outside these hours is a nuisance unless permission is given:

• Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm
• Saturdays: 9am to 2pm
• Sundays and Bank Holidays: no works 

Construction noise includes all work by electricity, gas, and water companies and council departments.

Report construction work to us if it disturbs you outside of standard hours.

If you need to do noisy work outside normal hours, apply for section 61 consent.
