Extra early help

Our Family Early Help service is for families who need more support than the universal early help services can give them.

Make a referral

Call 020 7525 1921 if you have an urgent safeguarding concern.

Or:

For non-urgent referrals each service has its own referral process.

If you need to speak to someone for advice before referring call the duty manager on 020 7525 1922.

Consent before referral

Before you make a referral you must get consent from the parent, carer or social worker.

Talk through your worries with them and tell them about the support they'll get from the Family Early Help service.

You do not need consent if you're making a referral for persistent non-attendance at school.

But you should still discuss your concerns with the family. Tell them that making a referral is one option.

If discussing could increase risk, refer without consent.
