Apply to hold an event in one of our parks or other outdoor spaces. Find out what procedures and standards you need to follow.

When to apply

If your event requires permission, you should apply well in advance of the event date. 

You’ll need to apply within these timeframes: 

  • small events (up to 499 people): at least 6 weeks before the event
  • medium events (500 to 2,000 people): 3 months before the event
  • large events (2,001 to 7,999 people): 6 months in advance
  • major events (8,000 or more people): 9 months before the event

Your application may need to go through a period of consultation before a decision is made.
