When to apply
If your event requires permission, you should apply well in advance of the event date.
You’ll need to apply within these timeframes:
- small events (up to 499 people): at least 6 weeks before the event
- medium events (500 to 2,000 people): 3 months before the event
- large events (2,001 to 7,999 people): 6 months in advance
- major events (8,000 or more people): 9 months before the event
Submitting an application does not guarantee your booking.
Your application may need to go through a period of consultation before a decision is made.
