If you’ve already submitted your leasehold certificate and have a reference number, do not contact us while we process it. We’ll contact you if we need more information.
A leaseholder deed of certificate was introduced under the Building Safety Act to gather compulsory information about leasehold properties in buildings above a certain height.
It formally records how your property should be treated for certain types of costs for building and fire safety issues.
Having a leaseholder deed of certificate shows that you qualify for protections under the Building Safety Act.
There are no known qualifying defects with Southwark council-owned buildings. But we must take precautions to comply with the law.
