Shopping
There will still be a Morrisons supermarket on site. It will be the same size as the current one with car parking for shoppers. The scheme will run in phases to make sure that Morrisons can continue trading.
However, the number of car parking spaces in the new car park will be reduced. This is in line with our commitment to tackling the climate emergency and encouraging more sustainable, active travel.
A variety of new retail units in Rye Lane will create an attractive shopping destination and attract more visitors and investment.
