Community engagement
The Aylesham Centre Community Forum (ACCF)
The ACCF started in 2022, led by Councillor James McAsh (then interim Cabinet Member for Sustainable Growth and the Climate Emergency).
It was started to allow local people to discuss the project together and provide feedback to us directly (independently from Berkeley) before formal consultation began on a planning application. Members were invited to nominate themselves. The forum has included residents, local businesses, workspace providers, the voluntary sector, arts and culture representatives, and ward councillors.
The ACCF has met monthly since it started. It has seen presentations from Berkeley and their consultant teams, and from Southwark Council.
How Berkeley has consulted the community
Kanda Consulting has undertaken community engagement and consultation work with the local community on behalf of Berkeley. Kanda will publish its final consultation report on the Aylesham Centre website.
