Article 4 Directions
Article 4 Directions remove PDR in certain areas of the borough. Therefore, applicants are required to submit a planning application.
Southwark has several Article 4 Directions. These are in the:
- Central Activities Zone (CAZ)
- town centres
- protected shopping frontages
- site allocations
- railway arches and more
This is to ensure planning permission is submitted for conversion of certain commercial uses.
