Save money on energy bills
To stay warm, save money and reduce carbon emissions, you should:
- familiarise yourself with your heating controls
- turn your heating off when you don’t need it
- turn down your thermostat by just 1°C can make a difference
- close your curtains at dusk to keep the heat in
- have a quick shower rather than a bath – showers use a lot less hot water
- keep internal doors closed to reduce draughts
