Heat meters
A heat meter measures how much energy you're using in your home for heating and hot water.
It allows you to:
- check how much heat you're using
- only pay for the heat and hot water used
By law we must now install heat meters in properties when it is cost effective to do so.
We've been retrofitting heat meters within some estates in the borough.
We've already contacted all properties that are eligible.
All communally heated new build properties will have heat meters installed as standard.
We'll let residents know about them when they move in.
If you have a meter you can monitor how much energy you're using via the Energy Portal in your MySouthwark account.
