Understanding your tariff
We set heat tariffs to recover our costs to operate the networks.
Tariffs are made up of:
- a daily standing charge
- a variable kWh charge

kWh (kilowatt-hour) Your heat meter measures your energy use in kWh. We use this to calculate how much energy you've used so we know how much to bill you. Standing charge This is a fixed daily charge. This covers our fixed costs when we provide heating and hot water to your property. Variable charge This is the variable element of your heat tariff. It's the rate at which your energy use is charged per kWh. |
