In 2020 we made some changes on a trial basis to the road layout of Druid Street and Gedling Place. These changes were the first step towards creating a cycle route connecting Cycleway 10 on Willow Walk with Cycleway 14 on Tanner Street. We want to encourage more residents and visitors to travel around Southwark on foot. But we need to make sure there are pleasant and safe spaces to do that. So we’re improving streets and shared spaces. If you’re new to walking, a free guided walking group can be a good start. If you’re an experienced walker, you could try a self-led route. Walk London TfL’s Transport for London's Walk London website has a range of walking routes. These include the Green Chain walk which can start or finish at Nunhead Cemetery.
