Domestic abuse

Domestic abuse

Refuges works with people from any background, gender or sexuality and offers culturally sensitive support and advice.

Housing and domestic abuse

If are not a Southwark council tenant, and want to discuss your housing situation, contact our housing teams to discuss your needs and options. 

If you're a Southwark council tenant call your Resident Services officer. They may be able to help you find accommodation in or outside the borough.

Sanctuary Scheme

If you want to stay in your home and get help to make it more secure, our Sanctuary Scheme might be able to help with installing additional safety measures. You can contact SDAS to discuss the Sanctuary Scheme by: 

There are other organisations that can help with housing issues outside of the council. If you want to speak to an independent organisation, like a charity, you can find a list of organisations on our Housing support page.

Help for people worried about their own behaviour

If you are worried about your own behaviour or that you are behaving in an abusive way, you can get help and advice.
