Streetscape design manual (SSDM)

How we set design standards for Southwark's streets. Our aims to make them safer, better maintained and greener.

Typical details register

The typical details register gives details for common street and space features including:

  • the technical design details showing how to assemble materials into a broader construction, such as for ramps or edge restraints
  • arrangement details showing the typical geometric design of common features (such as inset parking bays) but not the underlying construction
  • how the requirements of documents in our design standards register and the material requirements of palettes in our street elements register can be assembled together

Use typical details only where required in other SSDM documents.
